MDI Cow-Calf Management Software (Under Construction)
This is the cow management program that we use at Falster Farm and Miniature Cattle Ranch for the breeding dates, tracking, pasture management, health records, breeding profiles, pedigree presentations, photo records, Embryo Transplant, Semen Inventory, milk production records, customer records and the profit/loss financials on each individual animal.
This is not our first use of a software program to keep up with our bovine animal husbandry of Falster Farm. First we built our own record keeper spreadsheet, and we still use it for archives, then it got too cumbersome and we wanted to add photos for insurance and cattle thief security. We purchased one and then another program; as nice as they were they just weren't easy enough to use to allow Nancy and Karl both access to their use. So then we were introduced to MDI COW CALF manager which is moderately priced and has all the functions we want in managing our 170 acres of pasture and wood lands and the 40+ head of Sires, Dams, Calves, Heifers, Steers, Calves. After two years of it being the basis of our management effort and several inquires from our customers we decided to become dealers from Magnum Digital ourselves.

The MDI Cow-Calf Manager is a sophisticated program and does what you need a cow-calf program to do, but is very easy to use. Instead of hidden drop-down menus, this cow-calf manager has clearly marked buttons on the screens in plain view. The display screens are
presented in a neat, easy to read layout, and the reports are printed in the same order they are displayed on the screen.
